You won't believe what a hassle it is through the Prime Photos website. So today, I finally decided that it's time to download all my videos to a hard drive to avoid paying extra money for storage. So in the last 4 years, I've uploaded nearly 28,000 photos, and over 1,200 video clips.īut recently in the past year, Amazon changed their policy on unlimited storage, allowing only unlimited photo storage, but not for videos. I mean, what's easier than using an app to back up every photo and video straight from the phone? When they launched their Prime Photos app on iOS, I jumped at the chance to use it since they offer unlimited storage with a Prime membership.

I've been using Amazon's cloud based storage for almost as long as they have offered it. This is a warning for anyone who is considering using Amazon Prime Photos.
